SUP  Classes

Introduction to SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) - $25.00
The Intro to SUP class is all about getting you comfortable on a SUP and learning how to be in the water safely!  We'll often meet at Hoover Reservoir but also at a few fun spots in Dublin/Hilliard as well. No SUP experience necessary (but you must know how to swim). Paddle instruction as well as important safety information will be reviewed; we'll spend about 10 minutes reviewing safety tips and paddle instruction, then a few breathing exercises/stretches going into the water. You'll spend plenty of time on the water learning to stand, turn and most importantly, be safe while having fun! SUP is a great workout as well!  Class lasts about an hour.

Bring water, sunscreen and water shoes. You may also want a towel/change of clothes (for after class) and a rash guard or shirt as well (if you burn easily). You MUST be able to swim to participate. No yoga or previous SUP experience necessary. I will confirm the exact location the evening before class. Locations may change based on the weather (wind/water levels).


SUP Yoga - $25.00

SUP Yoga classes run approximately 75 minutes in length. We'll meet in various locations near Hoover and in the Westerville/Dublin/Hilliard areas. Safety information and paddling instruction are part of the class. You MUST know how to swim! No yoga or SUP experience needed. Lifejackets provided.  After a safety and paddling review (and maybe a few yoga poses) on land we'll paddle for a bit, then head to a quiet spot to practice.  Seated poses, standing poses, breathing and meditation included and modified for any level!


The Friday Evening SUP Tour & The Happy Hour Paddle - $35.00

Paddle tours run about ninety minutes in length. We'll often meet at Hoover Reservoir but also at a few fun spots in Dublin/Hilliard as well. No SUP experience necessary (but you must know how to swim). Paddle instruction as well as important safety information will be reviewed. We'll spend about 10 minutes reviewing safety tips and paddle instruction, then a few breathing exercises/stretches going into the water. You'll spend plenty of time on the water learning to stand, turn and most importantly, be safe while having fun! SUP is a great workout as well! Happy Hour paddles will occur Friday evenings and last about two hours - locations TBD based on river water levels & winds.


COMING BACK SOON!! We are pleased to offer classes in the winter months in Ohio! We have partnered with The Lakes Country Club in Westerville to teach SUP Yoga inside their domed pool! Classes in "the bubble" are open to both members and non-members and are one hour in length. Classes will resume later this year so stay tuned for more details! 

Be prepared - you're going to realize Ohio has water, and it's beautiful.  Be ready to fall in love with SUP and the awesome nature that will surround you!


SUP - What to expect: 

Detailed location information will be emailed to you the evening before class.  For all SUP tours & yoga classes, bring water, sunscreen and water shoes (flip flops are not ideal). For evening classes bug spray is a advised too! You may also want a towel/change of clothes in your car for after class. If you burn easily, wear a rash guard or shirt. I'll have dry bags on hand for rent ($1.00) for keys, etc...but you shouldn't need much while we're out on the boards. Water can be tied to the SUP; water bottles (not glass) with handles are perfect! 

You don't need to wear a swimsuit; running/workout shorts and a rash guard, tank top are appropriate as well. 100% cotton doesn't dry very well so fabric blends work best. Running or yoga gear is perfectly appropriate. I will provide lifejackets (for ages 16 and up).  I recommend a sunglasses strap for yoga classes. Glasses are easily lost in certain poses!  You MUST be able to swim to participate. No previous SUP or yoga experience necessary.

In the event of storms SUP classes (yoga/tours) will be cancelled. Wind can also be an issue. If winds are more than 15 miles per hour classes will be cancelled. If winds are between 10 - 15 miles per hour class may be shortened or modified slightly (different area to tour, mainly seated yoga poses, etc...).  Weather will be continuously evaluated and if class needs to be cancelled you will notified 2 hours prior to the class. I will contact you via email and cell (if provided) to advise of weather issues.  Locations may change based on the weather & wind.


                                                         KiYO!  KiYO SUP! - Kid's Yoga and Kid's SUP Yoga Rates

Yoga is a wonderful tool for kids. Yoga teaches children become confident, strong and balanced.  Additional benefits of yoga for kids include:  Improvement in strength & flexibility, increase in self confidence and learning skills needed to build concentration and increase emotional strength.

KIYO - Kids Yoga - is a class filled with all sorts of fun!  Through poses we will become animals, airplanes, cars, trees and we will visit exotic locations!  We can go anywhere!  We can do anything!  We use music and song, props, games, stories, relaxation and visualization, meditation and more!  Your kids will involved and focused while having fun!


Private KiYO! or Family Yoga classes - $50.00-$75.00
These 60 minute classes are tailored to your family and your kids! 


Private KiYO! Slumber/Birthday Party - $120-$350

These events include art projects and normally last about 90 minutes.  Get ready for the ultimate yoga dance party and tons of F-U-N!

The combination of SUP and KiYO (Kid's Yoga) is a blast!  SUP Yoga and Kid's Yoga combines postures and movement with strength, agility and laughter!  If you’re looking for a new activity for your kids or want to have F-U-N with your family, KiYO SUP may be your new favorite activity!
